Splix terms of service

Scope and contact

These terms apply to the Splix Android app, published by Baeri. By using Splix, you agree to use it as a local planning and calculation tool. For questions, contact splix@baeri.eu.

What Splix provides

Splix helps you record shared expenses, calculate balances, record payments made outside the app, manage reusable local contacts, and plan trips with dates, people, itinerary items, preparation, reminders, and local JSON import or export.

Calculations, reminders, estimates, links, and suggested settlements are provided as organizational aids.

Calculations and verification

Splix calculates balances and suggested settlement steps from the amounts, currencies, participants, shares, payments, and other information recorded in the app. Results may be incorrect because of incomplete or incorrect input, rounding, software defects, imported data, or later edits.

You must review the underlying entries and verify balances and settlement instructions before making or requesting a payment. Splix is an organizational tool, and its results are not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.

Splix does not guarantee that calculations, balances, or settlement suggestions are complete, accurate, or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Baeri is not liable for loss caused by relying on an incorrect result. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Payments, bookings, and insurance

Splix does not process payments, transfer money, connect to banks, provide banking or financial advice, book travel, confirm reservations, sell goods, sell or compare insurance, provide insurance advice, or underwrite coverage.

Any payment, bank transfer, booking, purchase, insurance decision, provider account, or related transaction happens outside Splix and is governed by the external provider's terms.

Local data and your device

The current Splix release stores app data locally on your device and does not provide an account, backend, or cloud sync. You are responsible for access to your device and for any copies of information you export or share.

Deleting Splix data or uninstalling the app cannot remove content you previously exported, shared, or submitted to another app or service. See the privacy policy and data deletion guidance for more detail.

External services

Splix may open external websites or apps when you choose actions such as Browse, Open link, Share, email, SMS, export, or Pexels cover search. Baeri does not control external services and is not responsible for their content, availability, prices, transactions, privacy practices, or terms.

Pexels cover search and selected photos are also subject to the Pexels Terms of Service and Pexels License. Photos may contain people, brands, property, or other protected elements. You are responsible for ensuring that your use is lawful and does not imply endorsement.

Availability and changes

Splix may change as features are improved, corrected, or removed. We do not guarantee that the app or an external service will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you use the app at your own responsibility and should verify important information independently.

We may update these terms when Splix changes. The published page will show the effective date of the current terms.
